Where I'll Be
Written & Recorded by Nicky Nieling
Thats where I spend most of my time,
beneath that old tree house.
Then I ponder what's on my mind,
then I ponder everything else.
It's been so long, since my toes have
felt that outdoor air.
The garden's almost ready,
and the budding trees are plenty,
in the shade somewhere.
That's where I'll be.
Oh that's where I'll be.
That's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.
In the dirt, and in the shade,
I'll find my way.
In the sun, so much fun,
It's where it all begun
In the dirt, and in the shade,
I'll find my way.
In the sun, it's so much fun,
It's where it all begun.
Thats where I spend most of my time,
beneath the old tree house.
Then I ponder what's on my mind,
then I ponder everything else.
It's been too long, since my toes have
felt that outdoor air.
The garden's almost ready,
and the budding trees are plenty,
in the shade somewhere.
That's where I'll be.
It's where I'll be.

Relate
Written and recorded by Nicky Nieling
Well if I can't relate,
Oh neither can you.
It's a long explanation maybe not the logic you'd use.
It's the things that happen to me,
It's the things that happen to you.
If you can't relate to me, I can't relate to you.
So many details, to the things we do.
So many differences between me and you.
It's hard not to compare,
Oh don't you dare.
I've seen bumps in the road,
and I know you have to.
We've both had setbacks,
that's nothing new.
Life goes on, and the world it turns.
Always a new set of concerns.
It's time to make some decisions,
Let's see what happens.
Life's too short, let's move along,
Life's too short before the gettins are gone.
Time to put the judgements aside,
Let's enjoy each other for a while.
Silly old grudge, about nothing much,
Doesn't change who I cherish or love.
But if I can't relate,
Oh neither can you.
It's a long explanation maybe not the logic you'd use.
It's the things that happen to me,
It's the things that happen to you.
If you can't relate to me, I can't relate to you.

Common Ground
Written and recorded by Nicky Nieling
It's a really bad situation, so much mass procrastination.
Our land so split, divided we fall, need a new way to go about it all.
So many ups, and so many downs, every county and every town,
State to state, across them lines, so many parties but no party time.
So many people at their wits ends, so many families still struggling.
So many collars, so many colors, lets hope we can unite again.
It's the air we breathe, things we need, it's personal touch, and what makes us us.
It's human nature, cant debate ya, we're all just human in the end.
Lets just hope for our sake we can find common ground,
Because our state is at stake, lets turn it around.
Lets just hope for our sake, we can find common ground,
Because our state is at stake, lets turn it around.
It's a really bad situation, so much mass procrastination.
Our land so split, divided we fall, need a new way to go about it all.
So many ups, and so many downs, every county and every town,
State to state, across them lines, so many parties but no party time.
It's a really bad situation, so much mass procrastination.
Our land so split, divided we fall, need a new way to go about it all.
So many ups, and so many downs, every county and every town,
State to state, across them lines, so many parties but no party time.
Lets just hope for our sake we can find common ground,
Because our state is at stake, lets turn it around.
Lets just hope for our sake, we can find common ground,
Because our state is at stake, lets turn it around.

Thirst
Written and recorded by Nicky Nieling
Well I'm weeping, beneath the willow.
On my tear stained pillow.
Dreaming of Amarillo, in the morning.
I had a late night last night, all party hardy.
Nearly lost an eye.
Another Monday comes as no surprise.
Well it's back to real life for a couple of days.
It's back to real life I got bills to pay.
And if I got paid to have fun, I'd be ok.
Well that aint how it works, at least not on this earth.
If you want to play hard you gotta work hard first.
But the harder you work, you work up a thirst.
Oh a thirst for success.
And a thirst for pride.
A thirst for approval so far behind.
A thirst for all the good things in life.
A thirst for convenience, and a thirst for speed.
A thirst for so many things, I really don't need.
And I've got, the necessities.
I've got love.
I got hope.
I've got strength, and I've got regret.
And I've got feelings, that I've never said.
Well it's cold tonight, sitting on the ground.
It's cold tonight, and the stars are out now.
I'm gonna sit here,
and ponder and wander.
Well I'm weeping, beneath the willow.
On my tear stained pillow.
I'm dreaming of Amarillo, in the morning.
